Challenges are one of the main competitions in the game. These short encounters are perfect for feeling the adrenaline pumping through your veins as you compete against another Birdwatcher from around the world. It seems like a great way to make new friends... or perhaps fierce enemies? After all, every hero and heroine has one!

Challenges are fast-paced, thrilling, and engaging, and they always take place in a random national park that both players have access to. Once the challenge starts, the two opponents will choose from three randomly offered birds to photograph. Pro tip: It's usually a good idea to select the rarest or highest-level bird available. This way, you'll have an advantage over your opponent and maybe even win the match!

When one player selects a bird that the opponent has not yet unlocked, the situation becomes more challenging for the latter, but winning is not impossible. When participating in a challenge without a specific bird, the natural park card will be available, allowing both players to continue photographing birds of all kinds.

Once the challenge begins, it's crucial to act quickly as it has a limited duration. When the countdown ends, that is when the challenge is over, and you either win or lose.

During the challenge, players can tap on the previously selected birds and switch them. This option is located above the "Search" button.

Only the photos with the highest score are considered in the challenge, while those with lower scores are eliminated. At the end of the challenge, whoever earns the most points for both photos wins.
